Checking in with Finnair is straightforward when you know your options. Online check-in typically opens 24–48 hours before departure on most international routes, allowing seat selection and mobile boarding pass download. At Helsinki (HEL) and other stations, counter check-in remains available for passengers with special baggage, unaccompanied minors, or complex itineraries. Arrive at least three hours before long-haul departures and two hours for regional flights. Priority lanes are available for premium cabin passengers and elite frequent flyers. Self-service kiosks at major airports reduce queue times for passengers with carry-on only.
